Our client is seeking a highly experienced Engineering Director
to join their senior leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to lead a team of industry experts in shaping the future of engineering and design within the energy sector.
About the Role
As the Engineering Director, you will be instrumental in setting and driving our client’s technical vision and strategic direction. You will lead, inspire, and empower Market Leaders across Transmission, Distribution, and Generation, fostering innovation and ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering and design solutions.
This role requires an exceptional leader who can challenge conventional thinking, enhance operational effectiveness, and build strong client relationships while developing a high-performing team of engineers and draughtspeople.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to engineering, design, and draughting teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and technical capability.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that strengthen our client’s industry leadership.
- Represent our client as a technical leader at industry conferences and forums.
- Manage resources, workforce planning, and capability development to enhance service delivery.
- Identify and implement new tools and processes to improve engineering efficiency.
Our client is seeking a people-focused leader with experience in a consultancy environment or the electrical energy industry at a senior level. A tertiary qualification in Engineering is preferred, along with:
