- HV/MV Substation protection setting experience.
- 8+ years post graduate engineering experience developing protection schemes, protection settings, relay configuration files and protection reports along with reviewing protection design.
- Experience carrying out Power system analysis using tools such as DigSilent and ETAP.
- Be passionate about Engineering.
- Be degree qualified (Washington accord).
- A strong technical knowledge of specifications, standards and codes.
- Lead technical discussions with clients to determine the optimal solution to meet their needs
- Develop and review protection standards/philosophies for clients and internal use.
- Assist in motivating, mentoring and training team members.
- CPEng accreditation, or on your way to achieving it.
- An analytical approach to problem solving.
- The capability of demonstrating and living our values of being agile, genuine, and having an inspired, passionate approach to Engineering!
- Citizenship, or a suitable visa to allow you to work in NZ
- Producing high-quality deliverables that leave no questions unanswered.
- Working with the Head of Power Systems and other Power Systems Section Leads.
- Guiding and developing our junior and intermediate engineers aspiring to be protection engineers.
- Plan and manage your team resourcing and assist with proposals for protection scope.
- Actively contribute to successful project inputs, monitoring and outcomes.
- Delivering successful project documentation and outcomes required to deadlines and budget.
- Contributing to the company’s quality and health and safety processes.
